The Kia Optima is a five-passenger, front-drive, mid-size sedan which places it squarely in the most competitive car class there is.The Optima is available in three trim levels; LX, EX, and SX. The LX and EX are equipped with a naturally-aspirated 200-hp 2.4-liter DOHC four-cylinder. The SX uses a turbocharged 274-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder. A Sportmatic six-speed automatic is standard on all other trims. A panoramic sunroof, aluminum wheels, power heated leather seating, dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation system and rearview camera are just some of the features available on the Optima. Standard safety features include active headrests, traction-control, stability-control, four-wheel antilock brakes and a tire pressure monitor.For 2013, the Optima LX receives a standard automatic transmission, cruise control and aluminum wheels. The EX Turbo trim has been dropped.
